Years after the Raccoon City disaster, Alice is on her own; aware that she has become a liability and could endanger those around her, she is struggling to survive and bring down the Umbrella Corporation led by the sinister Albert Wesker and head researcher Dr. Isaacs. Meanwhile, traveling through the Nevada Desert and the ruins of Las Vegas, Carlos Olivera, L.J., and new survivors K-Mart, Claire Redfield, and Nurse Betty must fight to survive extinction against hordes of zombies, killer crows and the most terrifying creatures created as a result of the deadly T-Virus that has killed millions. This is the first live-action movie trilogy based on a video game.
An improvement over the previous installment though it's not that hard to beat.
This film is directed by Russell Mulcahy a director I am not the biggest fan of, but I will give him the respect he deserves. He made a decent not good or Great, but a decent movie
The whole premise of this movie seems to be the road warrior meets Land of the dead. Where a group of survivors travel the lands to rest, find shelter And a place of peace to try to get away from a world that send overrun with scavengers and zombies.
Claire Redfield's role in the movie is different than in the games. She leads a convoy of survivors across the dead desert, but in the games, she on a mission to find her lost brother Chris Redfield.
Most of the film is set in the desert. So there are not as many dark corners to hide behind and get scared o as most of the film takes place in the day it takes more of an effort to be scary and the zombie make up has to be up to pat as we can see it fully not hidden and shaded.
It is more of a zombie group effort in attacking in this film instead of the one by one Every man for themselves your of attack.
You get more of a look at the ravages the zombies have suffered in the light of day. Which makes for impressive special effects, but this franchise has obviously seemed to run out of steam (yes I know there ate numerous sequels after this film) as our heroes still Seems to be battling the umbrella corporation even after the apocalypse.
Both director Russell Mulcahy and second unit director Douglas Aarniokoski have directed films in the 'Highlander' series. Mulcahy directing HIGHLANDER and HIGHLANDER II: THE QUICKENING, while Aarniokoski directed the fourth installment HIGHLANDER: ENDGAME.
Milla jovovich for the first half hour of this film is the lone-wolf antihero. The female MAD max until she is reunited with her comrades from the previous film. Now she knows how to use her special skills and powers that She has been implanted with though she looked pretty on control In part 2
Sienna Guillory was offered the chance to reprise her role as Jill Valentine from Resident Evil: Apocalypse, but had to turn it down due to scheduling conflicts with Eragon and the character was then written out of this sequel. Even with the cast growth and the addition of Ashanti makes this film have more of a cash in feeling A conscious decision was made early on to make this the bloodiest of the Resident Evil films.
There is nothing much to notice here except that this film is Definitely a Better film then part 2 and more entertaining, but it's also the type of film that you will forget very easily once it is over, but it's a good time killer.
I'm sorry resident evil 3 I saw the road warrior ad liked it more even with. Having no zombies in it
