Recently, I revisited two films dealing with the same subject matter: the Whitechapel murders of the late 19^th century. Actually, I practically viewed these back to back. More like one week after the other. And believe me, there was no intent on my part to assess a comparison while viewing the two. In fact, the notion of writing an article on either flick did not occur to me until after I sat through Bob Clark’s MURDER BY DECREE the other night.
