A story of Naoufel, a young man who is in love with Gabrielle. In another part of town, a severed hand escapes from a dissection lab, determined to find its body again.

This film is Thrilling, energetic, and surreal while racing against and across time. Where the film asks to take control and find meaning after an interest is taken when a real connection to another is fully felt and achieved.

This is definitely more a film Made for a mature audience. As the film is very melancholy In it’s time and heart. As well as existential. Which is hardly surprising considering it comes from the French.

The film is an adventure as a disembodied hand goes out on a quest to find his body and owner. As the story goes along the audience puts the pieces together like a puzzle.

While we watch the hands continuous and dangerous journey. We are informed of the person we believe it belongs to waiting to see how they become separated. As we watch we are teased as how many times he comes close to losing it, but along the way we get to know him and his circumstances.

The film offers a little romance that is never quite as deeply emotional as we expect, but feels poetic and deserved. Though it also Shows another side to it. Allowing more for misunderstandings and trying to do the right thing but not considering others in your decisions. It offers a story of Resilliance 

Even if it seems meant to be or perfect. The difference between ideal and reality. The film is visually arresting and surreal at times but always stays sharp.

The film isn’t a fun movie and while some might say it takes you on an emotional journey. It seems to stay in one mood. As it has a sad sheen to it.

Different mysteries waiting to be answered. How did he lose his hand? Where is the owner? Why has he not come back to claim it? Not to mention what is his purpose in life and how to get into the heart of the girl he has fallen for. As no matter in his devotion who it might affect negatively was her reaction really that necessary or overreacted and said what was on her mind. Which was easier then letting him down. Letting the rejection because she didn’t know how otherwise.

It leaves the audience with an ambiguous ending that is emotional but also seems to seek to show a kind of triumph.
