JEFF'S TOP MOVIES OF THE YEAR FOR 2013

Well it is finally that time to premiere my list. Though to keep the suspense going i have a few lists until you get to the good stuff

First up
FILMS I DIDN'T GET TO SEE

Please no pestering me as to why certain films didn't make the list. I wanted to see most of these , I just didn’t get a chance to by the time it came to make the list.

IN A WORLD

INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS (probably would have made the list, Seems like my type of film)

NEBRASKA

THE HUNT

THE GREAT BEAUTY

A HIJACKING

WADJA

ANCHORMAN 2

BLUE CAPRICE

I AM DIVINE

SAVING MR. BANKS

BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOR

PHILOMENA

AFTERNOON DELIGHT

BEST MOVIE EXPERIENCES

 Rush

Short Term ‘12

Kings Of Summer

Fruitvale Station (Both Times)

Spring Breakers (Both Times)

The Conjuring
Saw this begrudgingly with friends intent on seeing it. Was pleasantly surprised especially seeing itin a group and with a game and willing audience. Who made the event that much more entertaining

WORST MOVIE EXPERIENCES
(Obviosuly not the quality of the films fault)

Her

Before Midnight

Wolverine

Peeples

HONORABLE MENTIONS

That just fell short of the Top 20. Still Good Films

STORIES WE TELL

FRANCES HA
Though it gets better as the film moves along. The first 20 minutes make you want to stop the film though it helps inform the rest of the film. Though it feels like a Episode of girls at times. At least sooner or later you like some of the characters.

PARADISE: LOVE

SIGHTSEERS

THE GRANDMASTERS

UPSTREAM COLOR

THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES

 THE BEST MAN HOLIDAY
 Melodramatic, but i loved it

MONSTERS UNIVERSITY

HERE COMES THE DEVIL

BLUE JASMINE

SIDE EFFECTS

ESCAPE FROM TOMORROW

CAPTAIN PHILLIPS

So close to making the top 20, I just didn’t really feel the movie until the second half

IRON MAN 3
I really enjoyed this film, more than I expected to and I liked that it acknowledged it’s extravagance and smartly went back to basics formula, With a well known character

Best Films not released this year. That I saw for the first time in 2013

AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT

NO

COLD FISH

TALHOTBLOND

A WOMAN UNDER THE INFLUENCE
