  1. Generally I agree with 90% of your picks. But what are you and so many others seeing in Beasts of the Southern Wild? I thought it was a hot mess, it made me angry, and I felt like I wasted my time. I didn't think it had any sort of cohesion, nor any idea how to end, and that whatever good was in it I'd seen in better movies. Besides the art direction, I was just flabbergasted at the acclaim it's gotten. "Well, it's sugar for sugar and salt for salt./ If you go down in the flood, it's gonna be your fault." -Bob Dylan

  2. to me it's a haunting realistic fable that comes from the down and dirty south.One filled with hope and shpwing that the poor are soulful and rejoiced notangels but far from devils.Not the best made film but amazing what was done on a shoestring budget and incredibly emotionl without manipulation, At least that's why i likeit
