Because Trick R’ Treat did not quite live up to my expectations, I’ve decided some films could benefit from a more modest word of mouth. A film like Phobia 2, for example. There was some buzz surrounding this film after it was shown at the 2009 San Diego Comic Con and this year’s FanTasia Film Festival. But not the kind surrounding flicks like REC, Paranormal Activity or even Trick R’ Treat. But from what I read, it was enough to peak my interest. Apparently, Phobia 2 is the sequel to a film ingeniously called 4BIA (as in “Four-bia” since the original contained four segments). There is no framing device. Basically five short films comprise one movie. And each segment is directed by a notable, genre director from Thailand.

Okay. I’m really, very, very sorry. Last year I did a three part series on all things horror related during the month of Halloween. And I, uh, kinda’ promised I’d do it again this year.

31 Days Of Halloween Film suggestion list

I know it’s a bit late but I decided to shed some light on the lesser known Horror films out there. We all know JAWS, HALLOWEEN, ROSEMARY’S BABY, THE THING, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, THE OMEN, HELLRAISER, EVIL DEAD 2 and the like if not, Why Not? But I decided to list some good chillers that maybe classics in the future at least in my opinion. Most if you are a die hard fan will know them but there might be some surprises you should check out while you can. I’m doing a 31 day list so if you want to postpone it to next year you can. Each day will be a double feature.
