The old bag of bones 'Cryptkeeper' returns for his second full length feature flick about a funeral home that's a front for a whorehouse run by vampires.

The only official sequel to the Tales From the Crypt movies. As it was the second in a planned trilogy. Unfortunately this movie bombed. So a third was unofficially made straight to home video Named RITUAL (2002). Though it was not the planned third movie planned to hit theaters. That Is more on the comedic side then horror and comes across more as a B-movie rather than a witty horror tale like most episodes or even the Previous Movie DEMON KNIGHT. Which while being humorous time to time played like a horror action film that was more an ensemble movie.

In case you’re wondering. Yes it is almost as tawdry as the title makes it out to be. Though more an emphasis on female nudity that is in a few scenes rather then too much sex.

This is a fun horror movie. As long as your comfortable with the fact that there is very little to no actual horror or anything remotely intentionally scary in this film.

This film is more like the show when it is in full comedic mode. As everything is more tongue in cheek then actual horror and the only starring role for stand-up comedian Dennis Miller.

There is some fire but nothing you haven’t seen before. There in lays the problem. While the movie is entertaining. The title leads you to believe you will be watching a b-grade grind-house type of film instead of a film that almost feels like some kind of spoof of horror films.

The film ties to the previous TALES FROM THE CRYPT movie DEMON KNIGHT with the inclusion of a cross that has blood in it. In this film it allows a character to Have control over the vampires.

One of the main problems in this movie is Dennis Miller. As he can play the role. Here it feels as if he’s not even trying to create a character it even try to act. He’s playing himself playing this private detective almost every lien is a wise crack or one liner. So that you see he’s not taking the material seriously. So it feels like a waste. As everything is a joke. No suspense or thrills.

There is also a cameo that comes out of nowhere for no particular reason.

This movie though does have the some gratuitous nudity that the title promises. It also single handedly probably favorite of a bunch of playboy playmates in screen credits. Who all’s dreamed of becoming actresses something to put on their Resume. That actually made it to the big screen.

Interestingly the two female stars of the movie Erika Eleniak and Angie Everhart the audience expects to show some skin as they have in the past and they never do. Even though they wear enough short outfits. This movie seemed to try and cash in on Everhart’s Fame as girlfriend at the time to Sylvester Stallone. So she was big in the gossip Columns and this was the first big lead starring role for her. As she strikes the right balance and mood of not taking it seriously and having a fun time with the character. Campy I believe it is called. Though the movie making us believe she has the hits for Dennis Miller is selling it way too hard.

If you are looking for something trashy to watch this is your film.
