After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella's blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks, Washington for Bella and Edward's sake. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black. Danger in different forms awaits.

While this film is better than the previous TWILGHT. Which is a shame as I feel Catherine Hardwicke is a more skilled director.

This film still isn't very good, then again. I am not the audience for this film. Which will be successful either way.

The first film seemed out there but plausible, bit as the books and films keep going on while providing a deep history and pulling you more into the lore of this universe. It feels more silly the deeper it gets.

While the film continues the love story of Edward the vampire and Bella the human. In this film based on the books. Bella discovers her best fiend Jacob is a werewolf and as Edward leaves Bella for her own protection. Jacob comes out as her defender as possible love interest. So the Romeo & Juliet romance of the 1st film becomes a love triangle

This film is darker then the first film and has impressive digital special effects. It is overlong and dull. Half the scenes seem to go in slow mouton and for a film about love and romance the film feels soulless and fake as it tries to be he fantasy harlequin romance.

When Michael Sheen was cast as Aro, he had no clue of who the character is nor what are his characteristics. He learned as much as he could including the character's back story from his daughter Lily Mo Sheen who is a fan of the series.

The film contains many references to William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, which was, according to Stephanie Meyer, a major influence for her writing of New Moon. obviously

There is more action in this film, but it still doesn't speed up the film and for you Robert patrons on fans out there. There is a lot less of him in this film, but to keep you ladies happy and awake during it's long running time that is very indulgent. Taylor Laurent and his wolf pack have their shirts off most of the time. Showcasing they're six pack and for the fellas. Kristen Stewart is as monotone and bland as ever.

It's a shame because she can be good actress, but is stuck In. These mediocre movies, but they are making her a star in the process.

During the filming of Bella's birthday party, Jackson Rathbone got so into character that both Peter Facinelli and Kellan Lutz had to hold him back. During one of the takes,Elizabeth Reaser was knocked to the ground.
Director Chris Weitz and cinematographer Javier Aguirresarobe largely communicated with each other in French.

Peter Lambert edited a portion of the film during his daily commute. This may be the first major motion picture in which the biggest portion of the first assembly of the film was edited in the backseat of a car.

Now I have never read the books, not will probably attempt to myself, but I imagine out heroine is supposed to be likeable and somewhat resourceful and vivacious, bit here she is bland and needy. She is almost like an abused wife in her desperation to be around a man who seems to bring her pleasure sometimes, but pain often.

After months of speculation and rumors, director Chris Weitz and the novel's author,Stephanie Meyer, confirmed on her official website that Taylor Lautner would be reprising his role as Jacob Black. It was doubted as the filmmakers feared he would not be able to become fit enough in time. However, he was given the go-ahead after gaining 26 pounds of muscle.

At least it began as this simple story of a girl brought  into a fantasy world she never knew existed and felt ridiculous but you could follow it. With each new film we five I to the mythology that gets dumber and more simplistic as it goes along.

The film brings up the age old battle of the dangerous bad boy. Against the nice guy who is more your friend. Though the stack is decked as the vampire is sensitive and mysterious but can change you and suck the life out of you in an embrace. Where as the werewolf can protect you and defend you. Though has a temper thy can make him become a beast and harm you. I think we can all predict who she chooses especially as this is written by a woman and not a geeky male screenwriters.

Then again like sitcoms. The lead can blend to make the more interesting supporting characters come out to take center stage, but since they are supporting only come out for small doses. Where as the leads have all the camera time.

This is also the film where I officially quit watching any of the new films as they soon began to feel like a punishment. That I was suffering through with no explination as to why? No matter what talented directors they brought in it could only go by it's blueprint and what was already telegraphed and no matter whose vision it would still be disappointing at least for me as it already has limits.
